Photographer & Videographer
Position Overview
Spectre Percussion is seeking a Photographer & Videographer to capture, edit, and deliver high-quality visual content that documents the ensemble’s competitive season. This role plays a key part in showcasing our members and supplying visual assets for social media, marketing, recruitment, and sponsor recognition.
Key Tasks

Capture high-resolution photography and video footage during rehearsals, camps, lot warm-ups, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments

Support Spectre Percussion’s recruitment drive, social media presence, website assets and end-of-season archive needs

Edit, color-correct, and deliver polished photo galleries and raw/edited video clips on tight turnarounds during competition weekends

Manage, organize, and upload media files to shared cloud drives with clear naming conventions and tagging

Coordinate with Creative Director on coverage priorities, specific shot lists, and brand standards

Collaborate alongside content creators and administrative staff to ensure cohesive visual storytelling

Maintain high professional standards while capturing content around members, instructional staff, volunteers, venue officials, and audiences

Qualifications & Desired Traits

Must be at least 23 years old (or aged out of WGI Percussion) to be considered.

Proven experience in sports photography, live event videography, action photography, or performing arts documentation

Ability to attend at least one full rehearsal weekend per month alongside scheduled competition days

Strong technical knowledge of camera settings, lighting in low-light/indoor settings, audio capture, and post-production software (e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve)

Strong organizational skills, time management, and reliability

Personal access to camera gear, lenses, accessories, editing computer, and reliable internet
